GolfShot GPS by therussian theruussian - Version 1.4 - 12/8/2009 - Canada

After trying the GolfLogix free and being disappointed! using an iPhone3GS. I thought I'll try the GolfShot GPS. Reading the reviews, most being positive I bought the software, although leary having no free try out available. I went to my local course O.V.G.C and walked a few hole ei. #1,2,tee box of #3 and #9. Standing at marked yardage points for accuracy I found it to be pretty accurate or with in a couple of yards. The aerial imagery was good. I feel confident with the product and feel its far cheaper then buying the real thing.

Best App Ever I'mnotlaughingterry - Version 1.4 - 12/8/2009 - United Kingdom

Had this app 3 months. Most money I have ever spent on an app and boy am I glad I spent £17.99 on it. Any golfer who owns an iPhone would be mad not to buy this app. The gps is always accurate (as accurate as my playing partners sky caddie) and this app is £190.00 cheaper than the sky caddie. To be able to accurately assess the correct distance to the pin/front edge/left bunker carry, etc etc is phenomenal. I have the 3g, ok, on a full charge after 18 holes there is very little battery left but who cares? Get a car charger for £5 and your back in business as you drive home. The new stableford scoring is excellent and the stats after your round give you a clear picture of what part of your game needs improvement. The customer service provided by the app developer is 10/10, they are very quick to respond to new course requests/questions, can't fault them or this app, I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Genius of an app!!! ns1872 - Version 1.4 - 12/7/2009 - United Kingdom

Awesome app, best 18quid ever spend especially when you compare it to the price of a sky caddie etc. Really easy to use and set up, woulndt play a round without it. The battery is not too bad if you use it sensibly, when you dnt need a distance ie around the green and some tees etc just put it on standby. Doesn't ever use more than half the power with me, most times less. All distances and measurements r spot on!

Excellent, if you are into golf, you will enjoy this. captainwilkie - Version 1.4 - 12/5/2009 - United Kingdom

I tested a few Golf GPS apps, before settling on this one, you basically get what you pay for with apps, and this is the best of the golf apps out there. The distances come up fast, the maps are there instantly and you can use the pointer to get distances to any point on the course. The courses and measurements are all mapped professionally unlike many others, so they are accurate, the data base contains all the uk courses you are likely to come across, and if not, you just email them with a photo of the card and they will set it up in a day or so. The one downside is the battery useage, using mine just for distance measuring (not scoring) uses about 90% of your charge, so I think if you want to use it to record scores as well, you will need some sort of extra battery power. Great app. Dont hesitate to buy, a full golf GPS system for £17.99, a no brainer.

Amazing slatham25 - Version 1.4 - 11/30/2009 - United States

Golfshot GPS is amazing...was skeptical but read reviews and I decided I had to try it...Took it out yesterday and I am sold, does everyting my old golf GPS does...AMAZING app for $30. I sold my Upro GPS ($300 wasted money) to a friend. Awesome.

Great app Luneatik - Version 1.4 - 11/29/2009 - Australia

I was sceptical about this app but good reviews encouraged me to give it a go. Used it for the first time today and it worked great. GPS was very fast and accurate to within +/-10m. Not perfect but not bad either. Scoring and stats features are excellent. Used less than 1/4 of my battery after 18 holes. definately worth trying.

Fantastic Richteebs - Version 1.4 - 11/29/2009 - United Kingdom

Great app that work very well. New courses are being added all the time and the scoring and stats function is great.

Get It!! Recreational Golfer - Version 1.4 - 11/29/2009 - United States

This app is great. I don't get to play as often as I like so didn't want to spend $300 on a dedicated GPS. This has worked out even better and is just as accurate. Multiple player scoring, accurate, aerial views, etc are all awesome. There are very few complaints I have about this app. You will need additional battery power though. I have not gotten past the 15th hole without needing more battery power. This is a cheap investment and well worth trying for less than the cost of a dozen good balls.

Great value Cameron18 - Version 1.4 - 11/28/2009 - United States

Just got it Golfshot on iPhone 3Gs and played 2 rounds. Distance readings are as accurate as any $300 GPS or laser I've seen. Good scoring and shot-tracking features, although takes a bit of trial and error to learn functions. If you disable the Auto-lock on the iPhone to stay running, it is a battery drain. If just using for occasional distance reads you can manually lock (sleep) until needed to have battery through 18. The app comes back up to where you left off when you unlock and just a few seconds to acquire satellites. For $30 and no monthly fee, it's a fantastic buy.

Excellent!!!!! ALI ALAMI - Version 1.4 - 11/28/2009 - United States

This is one of the most usefull golf app I've used. Highly recommended by by this avid golfer!!!!

Good App. Great Price. Drains Battery Shinjuku King - Version 1.4 - 11/28/2009 - United States

I've been using the app WEEKLY for about three months in Hawaii and Japan and have had no problems. Satellite acquisition is fast and just as accurate as my friends Skycaddie SG5 and Golf Buddy Pro. My only complaint is it drains my phone's battery as well as my Mophie Juice Pack. Although I turn off "Automatic Notification," "Bluetooth," "Automatic Screen Brightness" and put the unit to "sleep" between the T and green, the batteries still drain to 20% by the end of the round. So the question is, should I deal with the battery probem or buy a $400 golf GPS? I can live with the battery problem.

Great app! Leyla Lara - Version 1.4 - 11/27/2009 - United States

I've tried multiple golf GPS apps, and this one by far is the best one. It allows for full aerial views, awith responsive and accurate yardage markings, even broken down to layup shots, hazards, back and front of green. The statistic portion is something I didn't think to use, but it's so user friendly, having those stats are very nice! Most courses I play are also in the database. Even following their battery saving instructions, I was only at about 54% after the round, using it for every shot (turning off between shots); you just have to turn it on about 30 seconds before your shot. After trying the other "simpler" GPS apps, this one is a winner.

Battery Issues goolow - Version 1.3 - 11/26/2009 - United States

The battery issue is a problem. The solution is to turn off the phone when not needed. Just anticipate a minute before you need a distance, and turn the phone back on. It's pretty quick relocating you. This is a great app with great customer support.
