The app is great, for the price compared to other GPS devices is incomparable. Yeah it might be 2-5 yards off at times, but for amateur golfers I'd rather pay the 30 bucks over 200 anyway. Plus the convenience of it always being on you.

Gotta say this program is absolutely great. I've had it for two seasons now and it has gotten progressively better with each update. A lot of people complain that the program eats up battery life and I have also had it happen to me. But fear not fellow users the newest update really did work. The biggest update to golf shot would be the programs ability to acquire satellites more quickly. The battery life issue is still debatable but I have found the perfect solution. Now when I play a round, I keep my phone in my pocket or where ever but I keep it locked. As I am walking up to the ball I'll pull it out, unlock and within 20 seconds I will have acquired enough satellites to get an accurate yardage. After I am done I lock the phone back up and repeat as needed. Using this method on a 100% charge I managed to play 18 holes while getting accurate yardage readings and I only burned through 15% of my battery. That's frickin awesome considering when I keep the program open for the whole 18 it drains the sh$t out of my battery. Mind you my battery is over a year old now. Anyways try the phone lock method and ur phone should have enough juice at the end of your round so you can call a taxi because it was a rough 19th hole

I never spend more than a couple dollars on apps, so this one took some courage. I'm so glad I did. Has great support. Adds your course as quickly as possible. Works like a charm and being on IPhone 4 I have no issues with it ever. It has crashed once or twice but it loads back up and works great again. Highly recommended! I returned my lazer range finder that was 10 times the cost of this app.

Bought this app with some trepidation

Overall, this is a very good GPS app. I don't use it 100% all the time but will keep in for scorecard and to get distances on courses with poor distance markers. To get a really good measurement you need to turn it on while walking to the next shot. It seems to need about 30-40 seconds to get bearings. I would say its accurate to about 3-4 yards. While that might not be enough for some people, it is more than good enough for a 14 handicap like myself.

It's accurate, a tenth of the cost of a dedicated gps and if you're reading this chances are you have an iPhone or an ipad.

This is the best ap of all!! I compare my distances to my partners "golf caddy"($350) and it is the same or better. I strongly recommend any golfer looking to improve their game through club selection on distance get this golfshot. This is a superlative product. And so convenient on my iPhone

A great gps app for iPhone provides all key layup distances. I thought it would kill my battery but no just hit power switch between shots no problems. Also works when no cell signal. Only want is ability to keep track of different golf games, skims, wolf etc other than that use all the time highly recommend.

I bought this app not realizing that my favorite course is not mapped on the gps. I know stupid. It's on the website. I tried to get the course mapped out. I was told that google maps didn't have quality pictures. Boo all well. The only other update it needs is a club tracker. I've used this on courses that are mapped and it's very accurate and helpful. I recommend this app to any golfer. But make sure that your course is mapped before you buy it!

I have used the free scorecard a lot and love using it. There are only a few things I would like to see changed or added. 1) Would be nice to have the option to have the card show you your over/under for the hole either as per hole or for the round, not just for the round. 2) Would like to see an average yardage for each club add on.

GPS and scoring work great, even on newer courses! Well worth the purchase, highly recommended!
