Wow what a year of Golf it has been! Not only were there big shake ups in the PGA with LIV Golf coming in, but the rounds played, the shots tracked and the new members we welcomed were larger than years before!
We’ve put together a few data points that we think you will enjoy from this year. As always, we look forward to next year, with bigger and better things to come!

When will Golfshot recognise WHI in Ireland
We offer Average to Par which takes into account the WHS. It however is not an official handicap so cannot be used for tournaments and such.
What was the average score per 18 and 9 holes courses? Seems to me, that would be a very useful statistic and one you could easily provide. Why have you not provided this?

In a year of Golf, we have loads of data to sift through, we pull top courses, top rounds, and averages from those top courses to show a small synopsis of the collection. If we were to pull an average of all 18 or 9-hole courses the data would be incredibly skewed. We have courses that have seen hundreds of rounds, while others have seen 1 or 2 rounds. We have courses that are incredibly difficult and others that are seeming very easy, yet of course, there are always outliers ie. New golfers, weather conditions, bad days, etc. To give an average score on 18 or 9-hole rounds without knowing all these factors would give a very inaccurate number.
This year in review thing is cool but I don’t care about seeing other peoples padded golf stats. Will you guys be sending this out for our own individual ‘year in review’???
This is cumulative data, we do not do individual reports as of now.

One suggestion: in addition to these big numbers shown here if you can also show the % associated with them, such as birdie or par%, % of driver for xxx-xxx distances…etc., it would help us to understand our own game better.

I look forward to this data. Would be interesting to see more data about specific golfers besides the top three who played the most rounds. What about those with the longest average drives? Or fewest average putts? Or most balls in water hazards, lol?
