Keeping the Watch and iPhone connected during your round provides better connectivity, performance, and overall reliability of accurate and up to date distances. We recommend keeping your iPhone with you during the round to maximize Golfshot’s capabilities with Apple Watch that include:

  • More accurate GPS Readings
  • Faster GPS Updates
  • Less Battery Stress on your Apple Watch

Should you still choose to manually disconnect your Apple Watch and iPhone during a round, please be aware that this may cause a less than optimal experience with Apple Watch. This setting is located in Settings> GPS, Caddie, Scoring.

If you have questions or comments, feel free to contact our support team by emailing us at support@golfshot.com, or by selecting the ‘Send Us Feedback’ button in Golfshot Settings.

The Apple Watch is expected to last 18 hours on a single charge, but different activities consume more battery power than others. Initial testing conducted by Apple in March 2015 demonstrated a capacity to deliver 6.5 hours of audio playback, 3 hours of talk time, and 6.5 hours of heart rate monitoring during physical exercise. We recommend fully charging your watch before play.

Apple Watch is splash and water-resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Apple Watch during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands. Submerging your Apple Watch is not recommended.
